The Importance of Selecting a Participating Provider

Regardless of your New West plan, you will always receive a higher level of benefit when you select a participating New West provider. Participating providers:

Accept the New West fee
Do not balance bill members
Are partners with your Plan
Help keep costs down

If your plan gives you a choice, consider the benefits of receiving care from a participating provider.

The fact that a Provider is included as a Participating Provider in a printed or electronic Provider Directory does not guarantee that the Provider is available to provide Health Care Services to you. For example, a Provider may not be accepting any new patients. In addition, when a Participation Agreement with a Provider changes, the Provider Directories may not immediately reflect the change. To ensure you receive the highest level of Benefits provided by the Plan, before receiving ANY Health Care Services, ALWAYS verify with either the Provider or New West that the Provider continues to be a Participating Provider."
